The house

A Look Inside "Pines and Stones"

The house is thoughtfully laid out on three levels, with a convenient storage area in the basement.

• Ground Floor: Find a cozy, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living area, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.

• First Floor: This floor features the main bedroom with a double box spring bed for ultimate comfort. Here, you'll also find a separate office space offering a spectacular view that provides inspiration, focus, and a deep sense of connection with nature. There's also a bathroom with an additional toilet on this floor.

• Second Floor: This level has two more cozy bedrooms. One features a sleeping sofa that can accommodate two people, while the other has a single box spring bed.

Explore the Valsesia Valley

Our house is your gateway to the authentic beauty of the Valsesia valley. Here, you'll find Rimella, a historic settlement of the Valser people. Originally from the Swiss Alps, they have lived here for centuries, preserving their unique traditions and farming lifestyle.

The local architecture is truly special. You'll see charming, small stone houses with slate roofs, set on the edge of pine forests. These are surrounded by vibrant green alpine meadows, clear blue skies, crystal-clear mountain springs and streams, and the dramatic, sharp peaks of the mountains. This area offers a unique blend of natural beauty and rich cultural history.

Experience the Italian Lakes

For a perfect day trip with a completely different feel, the Northern Italian lakes are just an hour's drive away. Spend the day swimming, driving the scenic roads, and enjoying the beautiful views of mountain peaks reflecting in the crystal-blue water. You can also take a boat trip to visit the enchanting islands with their beautiful botanical gardens, giving you a completely different and unique experience. Visit charming, authentic restaurants and savor delicious Italian food, making for a truly memorable day out.

For the Adventurous

Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just want a leisurely stroll, the area offers hiking trails for every experience level. The famous Grande Traversata delle Alpi (GTA), a long-distance hiking trail in Piedmont, passes right by our house.

Just a half-hour hike above the house will bring you to a breathtaking panorama. Here, you'll be treated to a spectacular view of Monte Rosa, fully visible in its majestic glory on clear mornings. Sometimes it's shrouded in clouds, giving it an even more dramatic and mysterious appearance.

Winter sport resorts nearby

For winter sports enthusiasts, the snowy season from December to late March transforms the valley. You are perfectly positioned to enjoy world-class skiing. Alagna, a larger winter resort, is just an hour's drive away. Alternatively, for a more family-friendly experience, the charming Alpe di Mera ski resort is only 40 minutes away. With a total of 17 km of pistes, nearly 80% of which are of medium difficulty, Alpe di Mera offers a fantastic experience for all levels.

Prices and conditions

Prices for renting the holiday home vary depending on the season. During the high season, from June 15th to September 1st, the price is 140 EUR per day for the entire house excluding tourist tax. In the low season, the price varies and it can be from 70-90 EUR per day for the whole house excluding tourist tax. For the longer stay please contact us via phone or e-mail.

We want all our guests to be perfectly comfortable, so please note an important architectural detail of our mountain house: the ceilings on the first and second floors are low.

This traditional design is a key part of the home's 1900s heritage, but it's important to be aware of the heights before booking.

If you are tall, you will likely need to duck under the main beams. We see this as part of the authentic mountain living experience, but it is a genuine consideration for some guests.
